MESA/Boogie® Mark 7 for Kemper Profilers
The sixth revision of Mesa/Boogie’s legendary Mark series is, in fact, the most flexible yet & turned out to be the Magnum Opus of founder Randall Smith’s 50+ years of visionary amp design.
Although it was released in 2023, the Mark Seven was fully developed and designed before Gibson’s acquisition of MESA/Boogie® and Mr. Smith’s eventual exit from the company.
With its 3 channel, 9 mode preamp, coupled with the legendary Boogie® Simul-Class™ Power section that delivers three distinct tonal characters across its three wattage options, the Mark 7 became an instant Mark Series icon and the most flexible Mark amp yet!
The fabled “Simul Seven” leapfrogs its predecessor, the Mark Five, and the secret Mark Six prototype to arrive at the most power-packed Boogie® Mark model ever in terms of Tone, flexibility, compact design, and interfacing. This do-it-all Tone machine delivers legendary Mark performance and adds two new sounds; the throwback yet infamous Mark IIB and a new modern high-gain Mode full of character and attitude aptly named Mark VII.
Because of its extremely complex preamp design the Mark Seven is known to be difficult to accurately capture. Therefore great care has been taken to ensure that these captures not only provide a wide array of the Mark Seven’s amazing tones but do so in a manner that’s true to the original’s sonic signature. The Tone Shop Mark 7 pack presents several tones from each channel and mode.
Perhaps the biggest visual cue of this amp series is the iconic Mesa/Boogie® 5 band EQ, which is featured to great effect on several of these captures. 4 separate and distinct EQ shapes are included to ensure several distinct flavors of tone.
