Marshall Jubilee RI for Kemper Profiler

$80.12 $44.50 NZD

The year was 1987. Times were more simple, a certain Guitar Nerd was about to graduate High School and Rock Guitar ruled the world - of course most Rock Guitar included Marshall Amps. Riding high on the dominating success of their earlier offerings, Marshall released an amp to commemorate their 25th Anniversay as an amp company (and Jim Marshall’s 50 years in music). With the model number of 2555 and model name being the JCM25/50 this amp forged it’s own entry in Marshall’s book of legendary amps.

Before long the amp was simply referred to as the Silver Jubilee - or even just Jubilee - and had become the amp of choice for a fairly wide range of guitarists - from Blues Shredder Joe Bonamassa to Chili Pepper Funkmaster John Frusciante to Mr. Raw Rock & Roll himself - Slash.

While the Jubilee may have its roots in the JCM800 line, the engineers at Marshall most definitely took this amp in a different direction by adding multiple diode clipping stages (as they’d begun doing with the 2210/2205 models), redesigning the tone circuit to be MUCH more responsive and useful, adding an effects loop and a beautiful clean channel - yeah, the Jubilee is definitely it’s own amp.

Because of it’s immense popularity and growing legendary status, Marshall began offering the 2555X - a reissue of the fabled Jubilee. While no two amps ever sound identical, it’s generally accepted that the 2555X is a faithful reissue of the original Jubilee and produces those amazing tones with ease. It is this amp that's represented in these captures.

This amp is capable of a wide range of clean, rhythm and lead tones, even without the use of pedals. Of course most Guitar Nerds love pedals so there are a few captures with pedals included - the Maxon OD808 and the Andy Timmons Edition of the Xotic BB Preamp.

Also include are the Xotic EP Booster and MXR 6-band Graphic EQ.

This pack features 62 captures (33 Full and 29 Direct) - most of the full captures feature a No Name 4x12 loaded with Celestion G12 EVH speakers, with a few captures made through a Bogner 4x12 loaded with MESA spec Celestion Vintage 30’s and a MESA Rectifier 4x12, also loaded with MESA Spec Celestion Vintage 30’s - all mic’d with a Shure SM57, Sennheisier MD421 (U5 variant), SE Electronics VR1 Ribbon microphone and JZ Microphones Vintage 67.
